My Story

I am a highly skilled and accomplished policy professional with a robust background in government, deeply committed to the creation and implementation of policies that uplift underserved communities while promoting social change. My experience encompasses all levels of government, including federal, state, and notably includes a tenure as the Southeast Michigan Regional Director for U.S. Senator Gary Peters. In this role, I successfully navigated the complexities of government structures and processes, advocating for significant reforms in critical areas such as criminal justice, reentry programs, affordable housing, and racial equity. By leveraging my expertise in policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and legislative strategy, I was able to help devise and implement equitable solutions that addressed the needs of vulnerable communities at every stop along my professional career.

I am also proud to be a graduate of the University of Michigan’s Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, where I earned a Master of Public Policy with a concentration in social policy. Throughout my career, I have garnered recognition for my unwavering motivation, dedication, and diligence in pursuit of reducing inequality and tackling challenging social issues through innovative policy initiatives. My education, combined with my hands on experience, has equipped me with the necessary skills to effectively advocate on behalf of Obsidian Advocacy Group's impressive roster of clients.
